During the month of March, the Communications team from HPCA embarked on a 3 day trip to Durban with the plan to visit and cover 7 hospices during the duration of their stay.
It was an extremely productive three days, and the goal of covering 7 hospices was met. During the month of April and leading into May towards Hospice week we will be publishing the heart-felt stories and images of what the team were able to capture during their say.
Stories of success with regards to patients and how they have been touched by hospice, to home-based carers and the great work they do in the community is what you, the reader, can look forward to.
We encourage you to share these stories as we lead into Hospice week.
Every month for the remainder of the year the plan is to cover a different province, and spread awareness around the hospices in each province. We look forward to educating our readers and more importantly squashing the rumors surrounding the word ‘Hospice’.
We have dedicated a week to each hospice that we visited.
The scheduled plan for the month of April is as follows:
4 – 8 April: South Coast Hospice Association
11 – 15 April: Khanya Hospice
18 – 22 April: Chatsworth Hospice
25 – 29 April: Highway Hospice
2 – 6 May: Verulam Regional Hospice Association
9 – 13 May: Umduduzi – Hospice Care for Children – ICPCN
16 – 20 May: Msunduzi Hospice
This week we feature South Coast Hospice Association.
