As we conclude our visit to Highway Hospice, we would like to share an amazing experience with you as to what extent community based carers would go to in order to provide care to their patients

Today we find ourselves in Inanda, Kwazulu – Natal which is proclaimed to be the most violent township in South Africa. The map for Inanda is littered with red spots for most crime categories, including hijacking, murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances. Despite these horrific conditions, community based carers are determined to reach their patients who needs their care. We share a visual journey and the impact it has on the community.
