About

The Lace Up for Cancer event which started in 2012 has successfully raised awareness and funds for the collaborating cancer-fighting organisations within South Africa. Which started off with less than 80 participants in 2012 has escalated to over 3500 participants in 2016 and over 7000 in 2019!

The six charities partaking have all dedicated time and effort into the fight against cancer and none would be where they are without the public and the constant support they get from their respective communities. This time they’re coming together and are calling on their long-time supporters to join in the fun and spread the love.

The race will allow people who have been affected by cancer, whether it be survivors or those who lost a loved one, to come together and share their stories while also familiarising themselves with the different charities that offer support in times of need.
