DURING COVID-19
We adapted our policy to provide access to oxygenators for more community members in need, establishing ourselves as a true community organisation – by the community, for the community.
1. What are the obstacles that you may have had to overcome to achieve these?
Despite advancements, many people – including health workers – remain unaware of the full range of services hospices provide, leading to delays in care due to late referrals.
2. What would you still like to achieve?
Empower smaller towns around Nelspruit, such as Barberton, Lydenburg, Sabie, Graskop, Shongwe, and others, by establishing satellite palliative care stations to assist those in need.
