“Palliative care helps manage pain and other symptoms throughout a patient’s treatment, helping them
remain as comfortable and supported as possible. When introduced early, it can improve quality of life and
help patients cope better with the physical and emotional effects of serious illness. Research has also
shown that, in most circumstances, patients receiving early palliative care may live longer than those
receiving standard treatment alone.”
