How has mentoring from the APCC helped you and your team in your day-to-day work?

Moving from a 4 to a 5-star hospice was a quantum leap. The most important lesson we learnt was “If it is not written it hasn’t been done.” I am so grateful to Warren Oxford-Hugget and Hilary Grey for their mentorship, patience, and guidance. It has improved our efficiency and “evidence-keeping”. As hospices, we often identify an issue and resolve it without recording it. It was an invaluable experience.

The day we received the news that we achieved 5-Star APCC status was one of the greatest days in my life. Our COHSASA assessment will take place in July 2024.
